Ian is the operations lead for the NIHR GHRU’s technology team, responsible for gathering requirements from the study teams and supporting the operational implementation of technology to drive the collection of high-quality study data.
Ian holds an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in eChemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales. His postgraduate research focused on the development of highly sensitive electrochemical biosensors using novel nanomaterials.
Ian is interested in the use of digital tools to measure and drive improved outcomes for people living with chronic diseases. Most recently, he has been involved in a project to develop digital technologies that capture patient-centred outcomes and increase access to personalised evidence-based management for asthma sufferers.
